This morning was the first morning in weeks that I didn’t jump out of bed, throw my runners on and join Jazz for a jog around the bay.
Instead I jumped straight onto the computer, to respond to some killer emails and international skypes (thanks to time zone differences). This is the nature of my amazing business Earth Events at the moment.
Lots of exciting conversations, ideas and proposals buzzing around, through all different time zones.
I’m extremely grateful that business is booming (bring it on!). However I broke one of my deepest promises to myself: exercise, fresh air and green juice BEFORE computer and work.
A few hours later I was still pounding the keyboard with nothing in my belly except some green tea.
Yes I kicked some goals and it was a ‘successful’ morning for business, so I let it the jog and juice go.
Enter my sweetheart, my angel, my coach, my rescue pup “Jazz”. My little darling spent the whole time devising (not so subtle) ways to tell me “Are you crazy?! It’s so sunny! Let’s go for a jog!” He tried everything from chewing my runners to pulling everything from post-it notes to staplers off my desk.
Eventually I turned around to say “I’m Sorry. And I Get It” and pulled by runners on for a quick bay jog followed by some improv dancing (usually reserved for afternoon work breaks). He was stoked.
It was the best thing ever and I felt so much love and gratitude for my fur baby. Without him I could totally fall back into the trap of work before health.
He is my angel and I love that he reminds me every day to prioritise Love, Movement, Play & Good Food (his favourite meal is organic meat with vegie pulp from the juicer).
